It’s looking like a beautiful day for a race! Online registration for the Granby Road Race has now closed. Day of race registration opens tomorrow morning at the Granby Middle School starting at 7:30 a.m., and the race starts at 8:30 a.m.
Registration is now open for the 2013 Granby Road Race. This year, in addition to the 10K through McLean Game Refuge, we’ll be offering a 5K, which will run partly on roads and partly through Salmon Brook Park.
Download the race registration form or register online.
Both races will start at 8:30 a.m. at Granby Middle School, on Routes 10/202, just north of Granby Center. Race T-shirts are available to the first 200 registrants, so register early!
Kids aged 0 to 9 years old are invited to take part in our Superhero Challenge, which will be held just after the race kicks off. Wear your favorite superhero costume!
All proceeds go to the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign, which makes YMCA programs and memberships available to those in need.
Mark your calendars for the 42nd Annual Granby Road Race! The race will return at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013. In addition to our 10K, we’ll be offering a 5K race. For the third year in a row, all proceeds will support the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign.
The 41st running of the Granby Road Race on May 5 was a great success, with 173 registered runners. The day was misty and calm, with temperatures in the 50s – a great day for a run.
Congratulations to Joe Corcoran, 35, of West Hartford, the first place male winner, who finished in 39:32, and to Megan Almagro, 18, of North Granby, the first place female winner, who finished 18th overall, with a time of 44:28.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and terrific volunteers who helped keep everything running so smoothly. We’re looking forward to 2013!
Registration is open for the 2012 Granby Road Race, a 10K that runs through the scenic McLean Game Refuge. The race will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012. The first 100 registrants will receive a free race T-shirt.
For the second year in a row, proceeds from the race will go to the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign, which sends kids to camp regardless of their ability to pay. Last year, the race raised $3,500 for the campaign.
